Weren't you?
Laptop Knitter and I are blog buddies, so we decided to do a meme-like thing together. You have to write ten things about you, so here goes.
1.Most of the ideas for garments that I have come to me when I'm doing other things. Like during Geometry (I love Geometry, I really do.)
2.I really hate wearing shorts to school. Someone invariably points out that my legs are purple. Dude, I know. The exception to this is dance class. This is because the dance people are really cool and wouldn't point that out.
3.My mother says that I look like the kind of kid who "Goes home and hits the books."
4.I get really scared when I talk to people who aren't politically aware. Sort of a fear for our future thing. Someone asked what a caucus was today. This was someone who really should know. I explained it, don't worry.
5.As evidenced by number four, I really like politics. My newest love? Ill Doctrine. Stop giggling.
6.I am currently on hiatus from the super secret project. It's just pissing me off.
7.I've been abnormally tired lately. It's probably because of all the stupid plants. Samurai Knitter would say that it was all the stupid fucking plants fucking each other like the fucktards that they are.
8.I'm going to my school's poetry slam tonight.
9.I've never liked writing poetry. I don't have a problem with listening to it.
10.I dream of getting published and moving to some fabulous city far far away. All I know is that I can't live here forever. Or a minute past graduation.

I don't have a title. Tragic, really.
Hey! I'm going to give you a complete overview of what my day was like. Because you want to know.
Wake up. Get ready. Miss bus. Get ride to school. Get to school obscenely early because I got ready for bus time. Work on science homework. Chuckle when multiple people think I'm not wearing pants. Stretch forever. Have ten minutes left to dance at end of class. Rehearse all three dances, two of which I like. Change. Go to seminar. Get another sheet about my 45 cents in late fees from the library. Listen to explanation of why Mexicans are hotter than everyone else. Work on science homework. Go to geometry. Wonder why there are five people in my geometry class. Learn something about triangles. Talk about progression of math with teacher. He says that if we had superfabulousamazing rockets, I could go into outer space for three years and the kid sitting behind me would be an old man and I would be 19 by the time I got back. I tell him that I would be 17. We both realize that I'm probably the youngest one in the class. Apparently he thought I was a sophomore. Watch announcements. Girl from dance class plays crazy girl with gun. Go to lunch. Tell everyone about fabulous idea (it's Internet. IN YOUR SKIN). Eat. Notice strange emptiness of atrium. Go to science. Wonder why there are 12 people in my Earth Science class. Turn in folder for teacher to neurotically grade. Take test. Mess up badly. Turn in test. Write a little bit. Watch part of Jurassic Park Three. Go to French Two. Get laptop. Don't want to work. Slack. School's over. Go to locker. Get on bus. Go home. Listen to music. Blog.
I realize that my last post was pretty...useless. I didn't explain anything. I'll fix that. My writing is italicized.
You are the total package - suave, sexy, smart, and strong.
Umm, okay...
You have the whole world under your spell, and you can influence almost everyone you know.
Soulloon says I influence people. I doubt this.
You don't always resist your urges to crush the weak. Just remember, they don't have as much going for them as you do.
Crushing the weak? WHAT? I am the weak.
You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection.
In some pursuits, yes.
You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.
Every once in a while.
You have the classic "Type A" personality.
No. No. I am not Type A. If you read the entirety of Hi!School is a Funeral for your Childhood, you would agree so much.
You are confident, self assured, and capable. You are not easily intimidated.
In some ways. Sometimes.
You master any and all skills easily. You don't have to work hard for what you want.
No. Welcome to Earth Science.
You make your life out to be exactly how you want it. And you'll knock down anyone who gets in your way!
Wha? I don't see this.
Guess what's on tonight? GREY'S ANATOMY!!!!! A new episode!!! Super bonne.
Anyways, I'm going for a walk now. I'll write tomorrow. Or maybe Saturday.
You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people.
I like this. Don't know if it's true, but I like it.
You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Did I tell you about Internet IN YOUR SKIN?
You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals.
I don't think so.
You are a seeker. You often find yourself restless - and you have a lot of questions about life.
Of course. Hence the blog.
You tend to travel often, to fairly random locations. You're most comfortable when you're far away from home.
Not really. I would, but I can't get there.
You are quite passionate and easily tempted. Your impulses sometimes get you into trouble.
Not yet they haven't
You are truly an original person. You have amazing ideas, and the power to carry them out.
I like to think so too
Success comes rather easily for you... especially in business and academia.
No.
Some people find you to be selfish and a bit overbearing. You're a strong person.
I like the last bit, but...I don't like to think that I'm selfish and overbearing.
One more thing

What were they smoking when they came up with this? Seriously? There's like one thing there that applies to me at all.
Now I get to do my earth science homework. Joy of joys.

Ten Ways...
As most of you know, it's Earth Day. In an effort to motivate myself and others to improve the environment, here are Ten (relatively) Easy Ways to Help The Environment!
1. Turn off your monitor. I don't mean right now, but if you're going to be reading a book for ten minutes, turn off your monitor. If you're going for a walk, turn off your monitor. Basically, turn it off it you're not using it.
2. Become vegan, vegetarian, pescetarian, or flexitarian. Meat takes a lot of energy to make. By reducing your consumption just a little, you can have a big impact.
3.Turn down (or up, depending on the season) your thermostat. Even two degrees will make a difference.
4.Stop buying junk. If it's something that you've lived without for any significant length of time, you probably don't need it. If you won't have any use for it in six months, just don't buy it. Remember the story of stuff?
5.Use reusable bags next time you go to the grocery store. I have a bunch of cotton tote bags that have been accumulated by my family that we use all the time.
6.Fair trade. This is mostly a good to others kind of thing, but a lot of fairly traded products are grown organically. Good for people and good for the environment!
7.Use the legs God gave you! If it's less than a mile or two away and you're able to walk, just walk to wherever you have to go! It's no-impact and it's good for you.
8.That light bulb thing. Use compact fluorescent light bulbs wherever possible. It's really simple, and it saves a ton of energy.
9.Cotton? No way. As you may know, cotton takes about a bizgillion pounds of pesticides to grow, harming the workers and polluting the water. Try to buy organic cotton or hemp instead.
10.You knew there was going to be knitting involved, right? Recycle yarn! Finding sweaters on sale or from thrift stores and unraveling them is a great way to get new yarn!
Some other websites about going green are Green as a Thistle and No Impact Man

In which my camera starts working again!
I saw the Yarn Harlot!!! I made her hold my sock too!
This was a fine example of reciprocal blogging. Stephanie took a picture of the projector, but she thought it was a camera.
I found a boy knitter.And a boy knitter in a kilt.You can't tell here, but I'm touching THE SOCK.
Those among you who are very...detail oriented would notice something of interest here.
In other news:
My book group met a week or two ago to discuss the Life of Pi. A few days after Pi day.
I made Pi.
And I've obtained some new yarn.
And finished the Mata Haris
That yarn above? The green went into this hat. It's not for me, btw.
And now I'm off to work on Super Secret Project some more. That thing is taking forever. I'm going to be buried with the half-finished project in my hands.

Oh yeah
Yes, I totally do have my permit. I'm really, really excited/happy/squee/omgicandrive!
Yes. I drove around my subdivision twice, and out on the street once. Soulloon is really scared right now, considering that he probably drove on that same road at least once or twice today. No SoullooN, I don't have my own car. Maybe I'll get one when I'm 16. But I would have to get a job. There's no way my parents are buying me a car, especially not a new one like everyone at school seems to have.

Squeeeeeeeee!
So, it seems that everyone likes number six. To tell you the truth, my favorite one was number one. Hmm. I'll be changing the blog layout tomorrow or the day after.
Things I am uber hyper excited about!!!!
I! Am! Getting! My! Permit! Tommorow!!!! This will mean that I am technically a liscensed driver. Scary, no? I'll have to drive everywhere from now on...I'll drive to the homless shelter, to the Yarn Harlot, to church on Sunday. Oh, the places I'll go!
Yarn Harlot! Friday! Ann Arbor Public Library! SQUEEE! I will be there, and so will everyone else on the face of the earth. Be there or be square.
I feel like I've been really busy, which is weird, because I really haven't. Hmm. I really need to get writing, my goal was 30,000 by the end of April, and I'm at 17,000

Three and Three
Three things I like:
Knitting. This should be obvious, but I just really like what I'm making right now. It's purple. It's amazing. It will make me famous. You will love it...All in due time.
My shoes. I got these about a week ago, in a pink and black plaid, with some more stitching at the toes, and I love them so! much!
Yogurt Blast Cheerios. This must be my new food phase. They're amazing. I eat at least two bowls every day.
Three things I dislike:
My Knee. It hurts weirdly, and it's bruised, and I think it's swollen...from crawling backwards on the floor during dance.
Our new dance. So freeking stupid. We sit on the edge of the stage, kicking our feet, slide back, turn around a little, slide back so we're laying on the edge of the stage, then do a backwards army crawl...and this is supposed to be good.
Earth Science. Dear gawd, do I even care about glaciers? No. Do I need to know what the difference between outwash and till is? No. Will this matter to my grade? Yes. GRRRR!

Hey...
I've just finished a hat, but (there's always a but, and this is a big one) I can't post a picture. Because my camera's an asshole.
I'm fuming. Just smile and nod. It's a pretty hat, if too small for me.

Well...
I've decided that the whole blogging gig just takes too much time and energy, time and energy that I just don't have.
This will be my final blog.
Good Bye.
