Ideas, that is. I was just thinking about the end of that last post, and wondering about some stuff. What if we actually did that? What if everyone went outside for an hour and just talked and tried to get to know people more? Could we do that? Could that work? Could that eventually change the world?

On the whole: Probably not. Yes. Yes. Unfortunately, the first no would make everything else not matter.
Locally, on a small scale, trying to set an example for the rest of the world: Yes, Heck yes, and YEEHAW!
My opinion, anyway. ;)
Like... aimlessly walking around talking to people?
Maybe it was mandatory. Streets flooded with people who dropped everything to hang out for a bit. Awesome. But impossible to get cooperation from enough people.
Gosh. What if there was some dictator who made us meet people. You had to fill out a card every week of the new people you met, and if it didn't corespond with the other parties, you were ... like... imprisioned or something.
I wonder if there will ever be a dictator who sucessfully changes the world in a better way. And people agree that things rock more afterwards.
I like this dictator concept. Certian members of the quizbowl team are taking over nothern afghanistan. Because they have nothing better to do. You could collaborate with them and force people to make new friends. This has some potential.
i would like to point out that dictator is only a 'k' away from dicktator. when i invented laguage i did that for a reason. nobody likes them, things never rock more afterwards and the only person who likes them is the dictator himself/herself. "hey, you didnt meet a new person today, it's time for you to go to jail and get anal raped. maybe then you'll be more friendly." but perhaps certain members of the quizbowl team COULD make this work. sorry im being so cynnical. i hate capitalizing. see-ya!
